We like to spread Christmas out in this house. So, Saturday we had our first Christmas celebration. Matt and I went for our run and when we came back Joshua was begging to open his presents from Grandma and Grandpa. This was prearranged since they won't be around on the actual holiday and they wanted Matt to be able to be there too. So, this Saturday was the day.
Nathan actually loves to FaceTime. It was quite the adventure as usual to try and hold the ipad where people can see what's going on but keep it out of the hands of little boys. All while helping with gifts being opened and assembled. One day I will get smart and take the gift out of the packaging and put it in a gift bag ready to go!
The boys were thrilled with their gifts.
Then it was on to feed the crew. We had orange juice which is reserved as a special treat in our house. Joshua requested stuffed french toast with a smiley face.
Look at this good looking cook! I guess he was getting hungry.
Finally, it was time for showers and Christmas at Sea World.
Tired of waiting.
We waited and now we have five minutes before it is our turn so lets have an emergency bathroom trip!
Entertaining himself while waiting
This was worth the wait! Both boys enjoyed their time in Snow World.
Joshua maintained this serious expression the entire hill. He swears it was soooo much fun though!
Nathan loves falling so he thought this terrain was perfect!
Then it was time for target practice with snow balls.
There was a live nativity performance and Christmas music throughout the park all day.
Nathan was happy if he could be free and walk.
Nathan's thoughts on being buckled in the stroller.
Joshua still loves a map.
Nathan rode the rides too! He enjoyed it and of course was happy to be following his big brother.
Both boys loved the climbing and sliding area. We always have to drag them out of this part of the park.
When we go to the shamu coaster, Joshua said he wanted to ride this alone since he is tall enough. :-( Stop growing up!
He is so much fun. This was him re-enacting the face that he made during the photos taken on the coaster. He rode alone and posed for pics!
Merry-go-round
A little tired of being here....
I introduced Joshua to my favorite game at theme parks, the squirt guns. It was just the two of us so I knew someone would win. Now, I would like the record to reflect that I won but the lady gave the prize to Joshua and told him that he was the winner.
This was the result. That lie will stay in place forever with a smile like that!
Nathan entertaining himself during dinner.
We met one of Santa's reindeer. Nathan got to hold an antler but he didn't want to let go.
Beautiful day in Texas.
Both boys loved the train ride and the funny snowmen throughout the ride. This is quite the improvement from last year's adventure to ride the same train.
Afraid of the sharks...
Stilt Nutcrackers are pretty cool.
Mesmerized by the penguin exhibit.
Loved all of the lights.
Last show of the night and Nathan was so done so he did his own thing; he played in the dirt!
It was a good day but we realized why we normally only spend a couple of hours at Sea World. We were all beat and Nathan was so done many, many times during the adventure.

Could your kids get any cuter? And how do you still look that cute after a run?
