Zoo

We had the good fortune of free zoo tickets and Matt with a day off. We were able to take a trip with just the three of us on a Monday morning. It was fun to watch Joshua experience the zoo. He loved being outside, watching animals, and watching people. As the day progressed and more people filled the zoo Joshua was definitely more interested in the other kids than in the animals. It was really cute to see Joshua try to talk to the little kids as they all looked at the exhibits.

He loves to talk to us when he is on our shoulders.
Not ready to let go but loves to walk
Laughing with dad

Joshua finally got the attention he wanted from the crowd :-)
He didn't know what to think about a bird landing on my arm.

The monkeys put on quite a show but eventually Joshua decided they were too loud.

It was really just a fun day. I can't wait to continue to see the world through Joshua's eyes. It is awesome to get to be a kid again!

Run Run Run

Well this blog is mainly about the little man that runs our house but I thought I would share a little something about me. I have really started to enjoy running. I wouldn't say that I love it but I love how I feel afterwards and I hate how I feel if I have to skip. I run almost everyday of the week and feel great. I am going to run in the Mud Run in 6 weeks and I'm looking forward to the challenge. Matt has wanted to do this run since we moved here in 07 and really wanted me to do it with him. Although, I would prefer just a regular road race I can't say no to my oh so sweet hubby. The event is a 4.2 mile race with a variety of muddy obstacles throughout. It should be a challenge and definitely something we will remember. As far as weight loss goes I think my body has found a comfortable place and although I run regularly apparently I eat enough to maintain my weight. I am happy with it though. I am 10 pounds less than I was when I got pregnant. This is the lowest weight I can remember ever. I was heavier than this even in high school. I am happy that my body has finally decided to cooperate with all of my efforts.

Okay no worries people....the next several posts will feature the baby boy. :-)
