Due to the hurricane, the first soccer games were cancelled which meant that I missed their first games. :-( Matt was super Dad and took the boys and took pictures! The summary for soccer is that Nathan isn't super interested. He needs LOTS of redirection and reminders that he is supposed to be playing soccer. He will tell you that he loves it though. He mainly loves visiting and hugging his teammates. Joshua is being aggressive this year and seems to be having a lot of fun.
Joshua didn't love having to wait since Nathan plays at 8 am every week and Joshua plays at 9 am.
The boys ate pizza and the box came with mustaches that of course needing modeling.
While all of this excitement was happening in Mississippi, I was at Time Out for Women in Atlanta, GA. My sweet sister braved Atlanta and picked me up from the airport. We were able to spend the whole day together on Friday.
We met up with these lovelies at the conference that evening.
I absolutely love TOFW; it is a recharge of laughter and spiritual growth that I look forward to every year. I flew back on Sunday morning and we had a special Sunday meeting since a new stake was being created. Elder D. Todd Christofferson was presiding and since Matt is a bishop in the stake he was interviewed by him. He said that it was an incredible experience.
The following weekend my Dad came to visit us and to celebrate my birthday. We did soccer games bright and early and then we went to a pumpkin patch and farm. I'm not going to lie here. We took cute pictures but seriously it was like someone's house with some pumpkins thrown in a field, some animals in the back, and their personal grill cooking some barbecue. Anyone that wants to make a good income for the season should give this a try.
Joshua doesn't love petting animals and he doesn't like smells so this wasn't his trip.
We ate at the Beau Rivage for breakfast.
My Dad took us to eat at a Japanese steakhouse for my birthday celebration. The boys are fun to watch during these experiences. I want to have time on my own but really I just love watching the world through their eyes that I always want them around.

Joshua was supposed to be reading to Nathan and he didn't let needing to use the bathroom stop him.
First report card.
Celebrated turning 32 by having the day to myself. A sweet friend came and took my children during the day and sent me this wonderful picture.
I got a box in the mail from my in-laws and the kids picked out stuff from the dollar store on their playdate! It was a great treat and I got to guess which item each person picked! Matt cooked my favorite meal, taco salad and gave me some new running clothes.
Then typical southern weather came and we went from hot to cold. Saturday's soccer game was cold with wind, an occasional sprinkle, and just a wet chill in the air.
Nathan didn't want to play but just wanted to watch the kids play. We motivated him to go back out there. When it was his turn to sit out he just wanted to wave at us, come over for hugs, or just play his own random games on the sidelines. He is quite entertaining to watch during soccer.
That evening we had a church activity. We ate yummy chili, played carnival style games, and did trunk-or-treat. The boys had more fun than should be legal. Basically, the crowd was small enough that they were able to be FREE.
We ended the month with trick-or-treating. The boys had a blast again this year trick-or-treating. Best part for me was that Matt was able to come this year! Nathan kept us on our toes. He fell into some bushes as he was scaling someone's porch because he was spiderman.
Yes, this is his third year wearing the same costume! We told him he could be anything he wanted but he says that he gets so much candy this way! He advised us all to choose chocolate over suckers because it wouldn't slow you down like a sucker would and you could just move on to the next candy. Joshua was thrilled that everyone knew he was Harry Potter. He said that made him the real Harry Potter since everyone recognized Harry everywhere he went as well.
