This kid

Joshua has been in school for three weeks now and Nathan and I have had a lot of quality time together.  This is the beginning of year 2 with just one kid in my house.  It is easy and hard all at the same time.  

He wanted to dress up and be ready for school too.  Sporting Paw Patrol and spiderman.

An afternoon that Matt was working and we had our Joshua back!  We enjoyed walking on the pier and through the lighthouse park.  It wasn't as hot as normal but as you can see....

Before Alexa was killed by the lightning storm that hit our house this month, Nathan enjoyed asking "her" questions.  This day he asked her if his friends were coming over.  So cute!

He had playgroup friends during the day and then we picked up a bonus kid after school.  Lots of playing!

Nathan loves going each week to his class at Lynn Meadows.

We were lucky to babysit twins one morning.  It was fun and Nathan was so attentive.

I wanted to include a Nathan story.  Today, he was at his three year old well visit.  The tech was trying to check his vision.  She shows him a row of pictures.  The first picture was a horse and he said camel.  She said sure that works.  Then the next one was a house and he accurately labeled it house.  The next one he quickly said, "I don't know.  What do you want us to call it?"  He labeled the rest of the pictures.  Then she switches it to several sizes smaller.  Asks him what the pictures are and he says ummm and then lightning fast he sprints right up to the projected images to get a closer look.  She returns him to the back of the room and this time tells him to cover one eye.  He doesn't want to do that so I am doing it for him.  She asks him what he sees now.  He promptly tells her that he can't do this at all he needs both of his eyes.  We are going to assume his vision is fine for now as the results were inconclusive.  :-)

This kid is a joy.  He gets a bad rap sometimes because he is loud, he doesn't listen to me half the time and definitely not the first time, he is opinionated, and he is three.  However, he brings light to us daily.  He loves everyone, he laughs daily, and he rolls with life better than anyone I've ever met.  Looking forward to another year with my Nathan.
