Last of Summer and First of "Work"

We had to wash the van after our fun road trip.

We HAD to get that chick fil a milkshake before July was over!

We HAD to have a nerf gun war in the house.

We HAD to go try a pizza place since Joshua and Nathan both had free coupons.  

Joshua spent the whole time putting curses on us from Harry Potter

FaceTime with family.  Collin thought it was funny to copy Nathan and stick his tongue out.

A friend moved away so we had a Chick-Fil-A play date.  Where else do you play when you live in a place that has decided to rain all summer long?!

Nathan got mysterious bumps on his hands and feet.

Nani and PopPop came to play!  It was a week early but we decided to surprise Nani with a birthday celebration.  Matt put the numbers 72 on the cake.  He's rotten!

We took a road trip to Mobile, Alabama.

Nani helped Joshua with some cash before she left so it didn't take him long to earn the rest of the money for this robot spider.  The toy is so much sweeter when you work and save.

Our California family didn't kick us to the curb.  We have maintained our relationship with them and we are all healing together.  Taylor wanted the boys to be Giants fans so this came in a package.  We all received goodies.  The hardest/best was the handwritten notes and cards that Taylor wrote before she passed away.  My heart felt like it was breaking in two while simultaneously healing.  It was wonderful to "hear" from my friend again.  She loved me and her words helped me again see that despite not having the ending I envisioned I was needed on this path.

We began our adventure in homeschooling!

I am loving my time with these boys.  Nathan has had two years of just the two of us.  We are happy to have Joshua back!

We are eating our education.

Some days we really should have taken a nap instead of staying up with "brudder"

Joshua started piano lessons

Matt and I are keeping busy with work, home school, and church.  We presented at a multi stake youth activity.  This was fun and made me think of our great time doing that when Joshua was first born.  I was released as the second counselor in Relief Society and called as the seminary teacher.  I will be teaching seminary, teaching the youth Sunday school class, and helping with the Relief Society newsletter (nothing like a small church to feel needed).    We also signed up to run another half marathon.  Time to kick this grief gut to the curb.  I'll be having many more views like this.
