Joshua's 6th Birthday

Started out the birthday with streamers on the door and love notes from the parents.

Played all day and WAITED forever for the birthday party.

Pod races on the kinect!

Where did the kids go?

Nathan had Joshua and Luke running as he threatened them with storm trooper Donald.

Took the kids through several training missions to become Jedi Masters

Winner of one of the missions!

Bowling or knocking down darth vader pins and storm troopers

Freeing Han Solo from carbonite

Making it through the laser field

Pass the Vader to the Emperial March was a hit

Finally it was time to practice with their light sabers by keeping up their training droids

Attack the intruder Darth

Eating and cake!

Nathan was determined to blow out Joshua's candles. He is so ready for his own birthday!

Nathan decided to earn a laugh by sticking his whole face in his cake and as the kids laughed he went in for a few more face plants.

Present time.  Joshua got everything he's wanted and then some.  He is definitely blessed but he is also grateful.  He has repeatedly commented on how much he loves everything and how nice it was that people spent their "earned dollars" for him.

End of the party posing and fighting

Telling Nathan to share his toys in the playroom to which he replied but look at these muscles I am bigger than them so I don't think I have to share....oh dear!  I corrected him in the moment but then later asked for a picture of him flexing his muscles.

Joshua is a blessing.  He was prayed for and we weren't sure we would get to be parents.  He is a loving, thoughtful, and conscientious child.  I am always amazed at his maturity and his view of the world.  We have to be very careful about what we say because he takes everything to heart and will remember everything you say forever.  We may not understand his Star Wars obsession but we were happy to oblige him in his greatest joy (next to Nathan of course.)
