November has been fun, busy, and just great so far! We went straight from Halloween to Matt having a week of vacation time. The last year and a half have drained the extra funds so no vacation but a fun stay cation was in order.
We had Joshua's last soccer game on Saturday. He loved it and and just couldn't believe he got a medal just like mom and dad!
We took Nathan to his 15 month well-child appointment although he was 16 months and two weeks at the appointment. Don't judge people! He was 33.2 inches and 29 lbs and 7 ounces, such a big boy. He happily walked into the office. (I am so happy he is walking now.) He has a few words but understands basically everything said. There will be a word explosion very soon. He had a fever (of course) so no flu shot. I am hoping this isn't the first of many to come for Nathan. He was sick so often last year.
Later in the week, we took all the kiddos to the McKenna Children's Center. Our two boys and Roxy (practically apart of the family) had a blast!
Joshua was caught in lots of moments of concentration. He loves to focus on any task given. Unfortunately, he has also discovered girls. He saw a girl there and suddenly his activities would change based on where she was going to be at next. I am so not ready for this!
Nathan is our little musician. He loves to make music, to sing, and to dance.
This face captured it all. He is a very happy kid except for when he isn't. His emotions are always on either end of the spectrum.
Of course, a picture with Aunt Rachel completes the adventure. The kids and I had more fun than we have ever had before with the 1:1 ratio of adults and kids.

Climbing all over me all the time. Joshua likes to cuddle sometimes. He never did as a little guy but he does now. Nathan loves to be as close as possible. Here he was captured cheek to cheek. He also loves to have his back or tummy rubbed. He just loves touch.
It is a blurry picture but this sweet couple were our "Columbia parents." They took such good care of us and are just those people you have an instant bond that doesn't go away. It had been a dream to come to the Alamo for them and we just happen to be an added city attraction! Joshua is always so reserved and Nathan is entering into the "stranger danger" age that I was afraid there would be moments of difficulty. Joshua has never been more talkative and playful in his life! Nathan had a few moments but really he was open to the visit too. We had a fun afternoon and evening. It made me homesick for my southern people.
They sent me these pics of a babysitting adventure they had with Joshua before we moved from SC to TX.
Matt and I also escaped during the week for a date to Gruene, a date to a Broadway show, and to the temple. (Yes, Rachel is worth it....my life is awesome!) :-)
Now, back to the real world. It is cold here and I have had three kids with three runny noses and fevers throughout the week. Oh dear...
